Comparison
traffic.cx vs DataFast
Both connect payments to the traffic that brought them. DataFast starts from a visitor cookie and offers more integrations; traffic.cx starts cookieless and lets you compare two attribution models on the same payments.

The short answer
DataFast may suit you better if
- You sell through Paddle, Shopify or WooCommerce, which traffic.cx does not connect to.
- You want a mobile app, an MCP server or CLI, or reports on AI bots and Search Console keywords.
- You want individual visitor journeys and profiles.
traffic.cx may suit you better if
- You want revenue attribution without visitor cookies by default.
- You want to switch between first-touch and last non-direct attribution.
- You run several sites on a small plan ($7/month for 10k events, unlimited sites).

Cookies and attribution
DataFast’s default script sets a cookie to recognise returning visitors, and its cookieless script trades accuracy for not needing one. Its payment guides pass the visitor cookie’s value into checkout metadata.
traffic.cx is cookieless by default and links a payment through the ID of the pageview where checkout started. That works without cookies when a visitor buys in the same visit. Turn on the optional cookie mode and the visitor ID links earlier visits too, which matters for longer sales cycles. Either way, payments that cannot be linked stay visible as Unattributed.
traffic.cx shows the same payments under first-touch or last non-direct attribution, so you can see which channel first brought a customer and which one brought them back to buy.
Integrations and extras
DataFast connects to more checkouts and has more surrounding tools: a mobile app, an MCP server and CLI, AI bot traffic and Search Console keyword data. If you depend on Paddle, Shopify or WooCommerce, it covers that and traffic.cx does not; the traffic.cx Payments API is the alternative, and you would send those payments from your own server.
traffic.cx keeps its focus on traffic and money: realtime visitors, goals and funnels, revenue by source, campaign and landing page, and a live globe that shows where visitors and sales come from by country.
Price for the same traffic
At 10k events a month, DataFast Starter is $9/month for one website and Growth is $19/month for up to 30. traffic.cx is $7/month with unlimited sites; team invitations need a paid plan. Both offer two months free on yearly billing. Larger volumes are priced on each pricing page.
Trying traffic.cx alongside DataFast
You can run both scripts while you compare. Add the traffic.cx snippet, connect your payment provider in traffic.cx, and pass its visit IDs in checkout metadata next to DataFast’s. Historical data stays in DataFast; traffic.cx cannot import it, so its reports start from the day you install it.
Try it on your own traffic
